Good Ol’ Homemade Brownies

You will need:

  • 1 C Butter
  • 2 1/4 C Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 1/4 C Cocoa
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 C Flour
  • 2 C Flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in sugar and cook for 2 mins, stirring constantly. Do not allow to boil. Pour into large mixing bowl and beat in cocoa, eggs, salt, and baking powder. Stir in flour and chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 9×13 baking dish and bake for 24-28 mins for thick brownies. For thinner brownies, pour into a greased standard size cookie sheet and bake for 15-18 mins.

The brownies pictured above have my green mint frosting.
